Defensive stats favor big men, this is not news.

There are only 4 perimeter players in the top 40 for defensive plus minus (http://espn.go.com/nba/statistics/rpm/_/sort/DRPM)

And defensive rating is mostly a team stat, with 5 of the top 10 being Spurs players.

That said, Kevin Love is not nearly as bad a defender as people claim.
