    Default ☆Official D'Angelo Russell Thread: 39 points, 6 reb, 3 assist.

Good to see Russell have a breakout game. Highest scoring game for a rookie this year. Very Efficient on 14-21 shooting including 8-12 from distance.

Julius Randle had his 25th double double, second best among rookies.

Did anyone see the game? I only saw the highlights.

I didn't watch the game but saw the highlights and checked out the boxscore. Impressed by the young fella. We will need more of these sort of games from him. I like our backcourt duo. I hope coach Scott gives Russell more chances to excel.

Kid has something special going right now, and I am very excited to see this team build around him. We just need that top 3 pick for things to fall into place moving forward. I think there is light at the end of the tunnel with the trio of Russell/Clarkson/Randle. Just need the 4th draft pick..

Lakers are known for rebuilding through free-agency but this one could be mainly from draft picks, which is hard to do. If it works out, we could be set for the next decade. Keep your fingers crossed!

Default Russell's promising last 10 games

    Last 10 games, 18pts, 4.3 assists, 3 rebs at a pretty good 48%FG.
his PER for the year now is at 14.56, just to put it in perspective.
    Mudiay has only 8.55.
    Sophie Elfrid Payton has 13.41
2nd year Lavine also has an identical 14.56.

I saw most of it. I don't count on him duplicating that impeccable shooting show in the near future tho but even when is shot was not falling the first 3 months, I always felt he has a pretty good shooting form.
His confidence and understanding for the game is improving but he still needs work on defense and game management etc.

We officially have a new big three in LA. Russell/Clarkson/Randle are getting the job done. We're gonna get Denzel Valentine in the draft, and Gary Payton Jr. and be that dynasty again.

At the beginning of the season, we saw no post work from D'Lo, not until this year. He's 6'5, & it's great they're finding ways for him to fully utilize his length -- attacking the basket from a different approach.

His post game vastly improved over the course of the season. He has great footwork & great instincts down low.

    Kobe.
