The longer he sticks around the more hits his legacy takes

who the hell gave him expectations after a torn achilles/broken leg on the leagues most pathetic franchise full of d-leaguers ?

because in order to be disappointing you have to have "expectations"

it was a miracle he played a single game after the achilles injury at his age with his mileage

Anything short of a championship is a disappointment for Kobe

Losing in the finals is what you expect from Lebron James

Um...you did. Even after the achilles I remember you making several threads about how you expected him to return to his 25/5/5 averages on 45% shooting. Don't try to rewrite history now that your boy has come up short of the expectations you and other baldbe fans set for him.

You know what I mean. Several media members predicted he would return to elite status as well. Last year Skip Bayless said he expected Kobe to be 80% of the player he was in 2013.
Funny how when ESPN ranked Kobe as the 25th best player heading into 2013-14 Kobald fans lost their minds, and said ranking him anywhere outside the top 10 was blasphemy. Like I said, stop trying to rewrite history.

Dumbass article. How does Trevor Ariza belong in the top 10?

Seems like they just took annual salary / production and rolled with it

Howard actually came back from injury and played like they asked him to. Top it off coming back to upset the clips.

Same with Rose. People have completely written him off. He also played through another setback and somewhat challenged the Cavs too.

If the list was going by annual salary then Kobe was by far the most disappointing player.

Well he did avg 22.3pts 5.7reb 5.6ast but it was on 37%

So if Kobe had made 2 more shots per game then he would have been almost exactly right. But he had hardly played in over a year so missing 2 shots more then your career avg is understandable when you are taking the number of crazy shots kobe has throughout his life

What was disappointing is that he got hurt.
