Did you really think you "won"? You just contradicted each other a few times, and then you threw out an insult, and expressed some antisemitism. Neither of you formulated much of an argument.

There are "fundamentals" which optimize one's performance in basketball, and apply to everyone. There are other "fundamentals" which are just conventional wisdom, or rules of thumb, and aren't necessarily optimal in all cases.

There are some cases in which you need to jump in order to execute a pass, and it's a good thing. There are other cases where you simply get caught in the air, and then try to find a teammate before you land. Every player does the former, and generally they aren't criticized. Some players do the latter too often, and I suspect that's what Nick is criticizing Rose for.
