Boston would not be in playoffs in they were in the West
With their loss to the Spurs today, the Celtics now fall to 43-31 on the season. That ties them with those same Spurs who are currently the 8th seed in the West. The Spurs have the tiebreaker with the Celtics having won the season series 2-0, therefore the Celtics with their current record, if they were in the West, would be the 9th seed and thereby, as of today, not in the playoffs.
This also means that, by Celtics fans' own logic used throughout these past few years, young prospects Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown are now officially putting up their current numbers on a bad team, which, once again according to Celtics fans' own logic, anyone can do.
This also means that Kyrie Irving no longer has any incentive to re-sign with the Celtics, because, and once again I cannot stress this enough, by Celtics fans' own logic, why would he want to sign with a bad team?
Tatum and Brown aren't even putting up good numbers on a bad team...

Didn't read.
That's cool, but they're in the East. I still see any other team in the East having a tough time beating the Celtics 4 times in 7 tries.

again "0" playoffs appearance means empty stat. Can't lead a team and can't be a good 2nd fiddle player to a superstar.
4th best players in a team at best.
