I see you're a Nets fan, are you in Brooklyn? There's a Rough Trade store in Brooklyn.

Have you read this book? I just saw the authors talk at Rough Trade. It's a definite must for punk fans.

Was just doing some reading up on Muscle Shoals and came across a review of the biography of the Staples Singers.

Apparently, Bob Dylan used to date Mavis Staples and asked her to marry him!

    Wow.

B-town is over an hour away. I have been to rough trade shop although I stopped collecting records years ago it got to be too much with no end game. And like 90% of punk rock kids I just grew out of it. I will definitely be reading that. I never listened to Aztec Camera but after seeing the doc I want to, also I loved the story about The Sweetest girl costing

Having finally finishing when albums ruled the world. I'm nostalgic for that time. I say to each their own a lot but turn the lamestream news and your sitcom with a laugh track and learn about the history of Rock & Roll.

There's one new on James Brown that's been airing in the HBO Networks this past month. Very good.
