Default Durant >>> Kobe & Jordan as a scorer.

Durant can get it done on a higher TS% from anywhere on the floor than either of these two guys and averages nearly as many points as Jordan did and more than Kobe does. GOAT volume+efficiency scorer.

Why you grouping Jordan and Kobe together... obviously Durant is better than Kobe, but MJ is the GOAT for a reason.

that season from mj is obviously better than kd's, but i just wanted to say that those 53 and 50 cant be compared. kd shoots and scores way more 3s than jordan, hence the lower %.

    MJ still goat tho

Jordan's career FGA is higher than Durant's single season high.

huh ur not very smart are u? what do percentages got to do with volume?

kd shoots more 3s, which have a lower avg%, therefore it bring his fg% down. mj scores more on post up mid range layups and few 3s, so his percentages are bigger cuz those shots are theoretically harder. cuz like lbj having a huge fg%, but not having a big % outside the paint. thats why TS% or eFG% is better for analyzing.

Once again, % have nothing to with volume and totals

who gives a shit? it's a good thing to shoot higher % shots. Durant doesn't have the ability to play in the post anyways.

Debatable. Durant is more efficient. Dude is averaging 20.6 FGA and averaging 32.2 ppg. Amazing. It's the Dantley efficiency.

Some of these Durant threads seem like troll threads. But I will bite.

If Durant is better as a scorer than Kobe or Jordan (yikes), is the league MVP and all that.... then what is Durant's excuse if he does not win a ring this year? I'm curious.

You also forgot that KD is playing against defenses that are far more complex and advanced than they were in MJ or KB's eras. It took 10 NASA computers working in conjunction to come up with the type of complicated floating zones and zone sandwiches Slim sees (and eats) on every possession. Plus the defenders are bigger and stronger now, much more athletic. Shane Battier and Tony Allen make the Space Jam monsters look like infants who just learned to walk.

    Truly, he is the GOAT
