It's a catch 22. None of these guys are in a position where they can be that demanding and challenge him. At the same time, that means that they aren't able to really get things across and have Kobe's trust.

Guys like Fisher and Gasol had their reputations and were able to voice unhappiness with touches and the way teams were playing and they'd be heard. None of these guys are really able to do that. One only needs to go back to Ron Artest's interviews after the Playoffs in 2010 to see his joy over Kobe trusting him by passing him the ball .

The team IS pretty soft though, let's not act like they aren't. Lin and Wes Johnson can have a game where they look great then 4 games where they look terrible and are non-existent. Has Boozer ever been anything but soft? Davis and Hill are legit but they aren't reliable on offense and have their weaknesses. Nick Young is who he is, good and bad as that can be. The Mitch line though is rather selfish and pretty uncalled for.
