Melo sucks cuz he can't be a 2nd option.

Andre Dollar is better because he's good at defense and is a good 5th option.

Okay, let me rephrase: in the games that were close, Iggy was still in. He's usually taken out during blowouts.

Trust me, I know how Kerr's rotation works. Iggy comes in around the 5 or 6 minute mark in the 3rd quarter and plays the rest of the game.

Really? When did Iggy carry the Nuggets to the WCF and put up a decent fight against the team that won the championship?
If you give Melo a good team you get results, when you put trash around him you won't succeed. This is the same for every superstar.

Iggy has found himself a great spot on the team as a human victory cigar.

Dude was always overrated, and now it is just more apparent. Not even really needed on the team, but is good as a 5th or 6th man.

To put it into perspective, I'm not even entirely sure as to who is the better player out of Iggy and Shaun Livingston currently. Seriously, Livingston has a great case since he is more multi-faceted on offense, and a good defender himself.

Not starting, but still playing nearly 27 minutes a game on an extremely dominant, stacked team.

30 years old is usually within the prime of a dominant, first-option kind of player, as they have more impact on offense and therefore must develop greater decision-making even as their athleticism has just begun to decline. Iguodala is a defensive specialist, and defensive ability follows one's athleticism much more than offensive.

That's just the problem, and you don't even realize it. Carmelo will always be your 1 or 2, and you will never win a championship because of it. Just like Iverson. They're "better players" than Iggy, easily... but if I'm a coach, and I'm building a team designed to win, I would rather have Iguodala than either one of them. I'd rather have Ginobili than Iverson as well. I'd take Ben Wallace over Blake Griffin. I'd take Dennis Rodman over Russell Westbrook. I'm sure a lot of people would read this and think I'm out of my mind, and I'm cool with that.

I can easily picture Iggy as a fifth option but I just can't with Melo. Maybe Melo can't win it as a 1st option but I would love a team that Melo as a 2nd option.

Melo, so I can trade him to a GM dumb enough for multiple solid pieces. Might even wind up getting an Iggy type player from it.

Not dumb, just a GM that thinks highly of him like so many others.

Every single thing about the dude was overrated. Him as a player, his defense, his play making, etc. He was essentially a dude who put up decent, not even good stats on average or below average teams.

Lebron shooting 35% against Iguodala in this series. 45% against everyone else.
