No...it's reasonable. If that. It's not like he has all star potential, he's expected to be a role player like JJ Redick.

How reasonable it is depends on the market this year and going forward for players similar to him in terms of impact...and the length of contracts.

This is far better than reasonable. It's just good.

Hopefully he puts in the work and steadily improves. Love his potential, but let's not hope money changes that.

Lol haven't you seen my reaction? Dumbest deal in the NBA.

That doesn't mean Fournier getting paid 17m per season is any better, though. I'd rather have Clarkson on 11m/per.

It's for 5 years though. And there is another cap increase coming next year.

A 4 year deal for Fournier next summer would cost considerably more if he just stays the exact same player.

If he improves...the price goes way up.

So those are the things you have to think about when evaluating a contract like this.

Fournier, next year, would get at least a 4 year 80 million dollar offer. Hence it makes this contract better than reasonable.

Clarkson is at 12.5/yr and is a clearly worse player and older, but that's cool

I like his game, very fluid. Magic might make the playoffs with Ibaka and Green in the mix.

I think the biggest addition may be Vogel. But yes, I like the Magics, too. Augustin is a good backup PG, too. Very solid roster and coach in the East.

This is a great deal. Give me this guy over Batum anyday.... younger, better, and 35m cheaper. NICE
