This is, actually, becoming a fairly serious situation. What does it mean that every major athlete you sign either leaves (Kobe) or has their career ended by injuries to the lower half of the body?

I almost feel like they've got a lawsuit coming. Tmac was always hampered by injuries as well. If you're going to spend a hundred bucks on a pair of shoes, how could you possibly rationalize spending them on adidas after all this?

Well, we don't know if a certain player's back issues are caused in part by his shoes. But it's certainly true that they could be. Pro basketball players' feet really pound the ground a lot, and the shock of that impact goes all up the body. Durant and Lebron don't have back problems. Or foot problems. Or any problems. Lebron's coasting now, but in Cleveland he had to carry as hard a load as any player ever has. Jordan was always healthy (except once) and played to age 40 (tho w/ a couple years off). Meanwhile adidas can't see a player into his 30s it seems.
