Does Kyrie deserve his number retired in Cleveland?
Served 7 seasons with Cavaliers
Played an important sidekick role in 2 of 3 Finals
Cavs basically retired every jersey # from the late 80's - early 90's squad (Daugherty, Price, Nance)
on the other hand...
Demanded being traded or he would opt out of playing with an inconclusive injury
Wasn't very impactful team success wise until Lebron's return
What do you think ISH?

I feel Kyrie, Love and Lebron will all have their numbers retired respectively in Cleveland
With Lebron's being retired twice, once after he retires and then again after Jr. retires (as a Cav)

Imagine if LeBron never returned to Cleveland. Kyrie would be another Kemba Walker struggling every year to make the playoffs with Andrew Wiggins playing 2nd fiddle, similar to Kobe in his prime.

I doubt they'll have anyone else worth lauding in the future aside from Lebron so yeah why not put Kyrie there.

I think he does, because
1. how much that championship meant to the city and franchise.
2. he drained THE biggest shot in franchise history in route to that title.

Re: Does Kyrie deserve his number retired in Cleveland?
Yes his number should be retired. Kyrie hit the critical shot against the GSW in that series even if it was against a worn down, gassed, injured team that had 3 key players injured. Lebron only managed a block and 1 point in the finals minutes of play that game, so Kyrie had to at least do something to win it because their leader wasn't doing enough in crunch time other than missing shots.

He helped break the curse while playing at superstar level.
