Game. Set. Match.
Re: Shaq wasn't able to win until Kobe entered his prime
Shaq was in the NBA Finals before Kobe was even in the league.

21 years old in a tougher era of defense.
LeBron's first Finals he scored 22 points per game on 35% shooting while seeing the easier defensive rules (2006-2007) that did not allow hand-checking. He was 22.
In Kobe's age 22 Finals Performance he scored 25 points per game on 42% shooting. Note that this was also under the tougher era of defense that allowed more physical play in the perimeter. (2000-2001).
NBA changed defensive rules to curtail hand-checking and physical play on the perimeter in 2004. http://www.nba.com/analysis/rules_history.html

Kobe scored 24 ppg on 41% shooting. and got bailed out by shaq's 35
Allen iverson 35 ppg on 40% in the same era
By kobetard logic
without shaq kobe loses that.
Therefore prime iverson> prime kobe

Kobe was not in his prime during 2001, he was only 22 years old.
Prime Iverson > Young Kobe
Kobe was 22 during those Finals, Iverson was 25.
If you do research on what happens to players from age 22 to 25. They improve greatly.

You just said that shaq didn't win until kobe entered his prime.
So which one is it? They won in 2001, was he in his prime or not? if he wasn't than this whole thread is as suspected, retarded.

It was the very beginning of his prime, not his peak. They are different things.

Re: Shaq wasn't able to win until Kobe entered his prime
OP states that shaq wasn't able to win until Kobe entered his prime
Shaq won with Kobe shooting 15ppg on 36%
OP then argues that Kobe wasn't in his prime yet
