No but seriously, Lebron at that age was alot more NBA ready (arguably the most talented and physically gifted player ever at that age) than maybe all players in NBA history...... you need to keep that in mind... 20-5-5 would be an absolute minimum and mostly a result of to little minutes than anything else...

Depends on the school. MJ averaged like 20-6-4 in his last college year, then proceeded to average 28-6-6 in his rookie year.

Lebron was a poor rookie. Melo was better in their rookie years. Your thinking of current Lebron as a rookie, but it doesnt work that way. Rookie Lebron was a horrible defender and was often left unguarded like Rondo because he could not shoot at all. Plus he was a lot weaker and really struggled against big physical players (remember his "crying game" agains the Pistons when he left the court in tears?) 16/4/3 on 51 TS% is being very genorous. especially in the 2003 ACC or Big Ten, he would be lucky to put up 12 points a game

So you honestly think that with the amount of zone run in college that LeBron would average 30 ppg? He had a very mediocre jumpshot coming out of high school, and this is coming from a huge LeBron fan. I highly doubt if teams guarded the paint against LeBron that he would have had such an easy time.

I think the people saying LeBron would averaged 25-30 or more a game in college really don't watch much college basketball, if any at all. The best scorers in college, in terms of PPG and leading the nation and/or their conference or whatever, are usually very good shooters. Like you said, there's a lot of zone defense in college that just screams for guys like Jimmer, Durant, Morrison, Reddick, etc. to light up the scoreboard. Not sure LeBron would've been able to be as ball dominant in college as he was from day one in the NBA. College offenses are more team and ball movement oriented. Quick passing, ball-reversal, screens, double/stagger screens, etc. Only in extreme and rare situations do you see a coach call for a player to get the ball in an ISO situation. And, when you do, it's usually in a 1-4 flat type set at the end of the half or game.

I think LeBron's all-around numbers would be very good, but he just didn't have the type of game coming out of high school that lent itself to putting up big scoring numbers in college. Not that he wouldn't have the occasional 30 point game, but him averaging that many or close to that many? I don't see it.
