Looks Like San Antonio has a legit shot to win it All this year
Everyone talks about how miami is the best. But the Spurs are freakishly stacked, but not just that, they have so much insane chemistry. Now with Jackson, they have both Manu and Jack on the bench. How crazy is that? Both Miami and Oklahoma don't have a big center, so I think SA has no disadvantage there. With their crazy depth (Neal, Splitter, Jackson, Manu) and starters such as Parker and Duncan, I think they can beat anyone. Since their team is only 27 years old on the average, they have enough depth to overcome the younger teams in the playoffs. They are not playing with older guys like Bowen or Barry, Horry. And with the addition of Stephen Jackson, they have a bad boy that can light up the crowd. What a great reunion. I think they are going all the way this year.

Better hope they don't meet the Grizz, Thunder, Lakers, Heat or Bulls then.

Purely a great regular season team until proven otherwise....

This Spurs team is a huge upgrade from last year.

3-0 vs Griz this year.
2-1 vs Thunder this year(10-2 against them the past three years)
Lakers advantage in the frontcourt is made up by the massive advantage in the Spurs backcourt/wings. Chucker-mode Kobe and jouneyman Sessions aren't putting them over the top this year.
The Mavs proved last year that the Western Conference is wide open. Evey team has a weakness.
Heat and Bulls are better but it's irrelevant to mention them since they're not in the West.

So overstated and so untrue. We had a bad outing against a tough matchup in the playoffs. We played a young team at their hottest while we were at our weakest point in the season without Ginobili.
Not to mention this year huge improvements defensively with the emergence of Green, Leonard and Splitter. Neal, Jackson, Ginobili, Green give us clutch and consistent three point threat. Tim Duncan has been silently cruising through an impressive season at his age (21/15/4 tonight in 24 minutes), and Tony Parker is having career averages at 29 going on 30.
If all continues to go well and we can remain healthy there is no doubt we have a legitimate shot of taking the West.

What has what they did in 2007 got to do with now? Spurs won 60 games last year and got waxed in round one. The way their team is built is not built to win titles IMO. Guess time will tell.

So is history going to repeat for everyone or just the Spurs?
Who's sweeping the Lakers this year?
Jesus, christ, people act like Manu didn't have a broken arm, like the Spurs are a completely different team this season, that it's 2012.
