Don't know if anyone else saw Hollinger's (insider) article on ESPN. Apparently the Warriors could have traded him to the Cavs for instant cap relief (Szczerbiak and West) but instead chose the Bobcats, even though Radman's contract is longer.

So basically they took a worse deal just to mess with Jackson

the Warriors wanted a big for S-Jax and Z was involved but we wanted GS to buy him out so he can return to Cleveland.

Obviously they didnt want to do that so they took Rad-Man and they're satisfied with it.

My NBA broadband wasn't working so I listened to the Magic broadcasters. They may be the worst commentators in professional sports. Worse than the Raiders football crew. Their comments don't hold any water.

[QUOTE]With Stephen Jackson traded, Monta Ellis thinks he is the only player left on the Warriors that plays defense.

Raja left his defense in those playoffs vs. LA. He doesn't know about his reputation because he shouldn't have one anymore.

He's getting too slow to play good D.

WAS a proven elite defender. Now only average. Sure Raja has basketball IQ, but of any team to use an intelligent vet, the Warriors would squander his experience. His expiring contract is his most valuable asset.

And the Raiders crew is so old they can't see all the way to the field.

You've probably never listened to the Sacramento Kings commentators then.
