I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say Peters is getting graded favorably by a lot of people because Weddle is getting all the attention for being that damn bad. It's easy to overlook everything Peters has done good or bad up to the point where Weddle shows why he should retire already.
90% of what I read on Peters from fans is negative

What I think happened is Peters was an AllPro in KC...lots of turnovers...goes to the Rams those fans think they got Deion...the INTs aren't there, he gives up a couple big plays which are highlighted on ESPN...fans knee jerk to hell and declare he's overrrated garbage. The analysts who are digging deeper than that are capable of seeing he's been mostly good. The metrics show it.

A CB can have an anazing game...and never be mentioned or even seen during a broadcast of the game. It goes completely unnoticed.

This is something Nnamdi fans used to constantly bring up. Has a shutdown year with the Raiders and still no one even knows who he is.

Berry played 16 games in both of Peters all-pro seasons. The Rams never had that kind of safety to play over the top of him. I couldn't tell you shit about the Ravens, but if Earl Thomas is still Earl Thomas the Ravens will get more value out of Peters than the Rams ever did. What Peters is good at only works with a great safety over the top of him. Lamarcus Joyner wasn't that and this version of Weddle isn't anywhere close to that.

Fans aren't dumb. They know what they're watching.

Some fans know what their watching...but majority of fans are not objective or reasonable and pin entire wins and losses on the QB regardless of how the game played out.

I think it'd be easy for a CB to have a good year without the masses noticing or because theyve been blinded by 1or 2 bad plays shown on Sports Center over and over.

well yea... offensive stats are king in every sport.

we play in a fantasy league that totally omits all players on one side of the ball.
