Default Miami should avoid the #1 seed

To potentially have to face the surging knicks in the first round, then the Bulls or Nets in the second round will be hell for this team. While the Pacers will cake walk through the bobcats and wizards lol

It's a trap yo

Nah I rather have them get some challenge to prepare themselves and gain some momentum against the Pacers/Spurs/Clips/OKC.

Bulls will get the Number 3 seed and will beat up on Indiana. Nets without Lopez wont really be a challenge for Miami.

EDIT: Knicks will get crucified.

What is the crap about Miami avoiding anybody ? Their the fucking defending champions. They should be the hunted and they should have the attitude of "we can beat anybody".

So they should do what is best for the team, not looking to defer.

I doubt it. I hope they play OKC rather than the Spurs.

Wizards have a better chance of defeating Miami than OKC.

KG?Kirlenko?Blatche?
they beat miami 3 times this year i think they will be a challenge and you know how much Paul Pierce likes to play against Lebron. I think Nets and Bulls both have a chance at miami

Who are they potentially facing in the first and second rounds if they are the #2 seed?

Agree with all of this. OP does have a point, getting the second seed is the smarter move.

Knicks were surging 2 years ago with an 18-6 record to end the season... and then the Heat smacked them around. The problem with that was they were not very good against the Heat 2 years ago, they've been better past 2 years. But they are still not beating a top 2 team
