They're good guys. But that's the problem. I want my 'best player in the league', whichever one of the two it is, to be a complete asshole. Bird was an asshole. As was Jordan. As was Kobe. Lebron is more annoying than an asshole. Durant is too nice and it's cringeworthy watching him trying not to be. This soft ass buddy buddy shit era has turned the superstars soft and I don't like it. CP3 and Westbrook are old school though.

I respect Lebron more than KD. I can't really get behind KD though. Dude is so boring, and when he tries to be 'tough' it comes off as fake as hell.

I like Dirk a lot, I like Kobe's personality a lot but don't care for his play style, and I like Duncan a lot as well.

Edit: Also really like Westbrook and Zbo. I like Griffin a lot too, somehow he flops less than LBJ does now. For past players Idk how anyone can like MJ as a person really and Bird is just the man.

LeBron isn't in my top 5 of favorite players in the league, but I defend him because he's on the Heat. I do like him and I don't think he's as bad personality wise as people make him out to be. Yah he's arrogant, but he's been the "chosen one" since his teenage years. I can understand why he would be that way, but I think he's matured a lot more since first coming to Miami. He does still say stupid things though.

I also like Durant. There's nothing for me to dislike about him. Yah the refs give him a ton of FTs and I don't buy the "most humble player in the league" thing, but it's not like he's bad off the court. He's just a normal guy (personality wise) who is an elite basketball player. I don't expect the players to be robots on the court.

Both players are likable. Both players have their flaws. Do not hate the players because of their stans. Appreciate both players and you will find yourself enjoying basketball a bit more.

I can understand not liking the way Durant complains to refs, but he's just looking for an edge and trying his best to win games. You can't really look down at that, do whatever it takes to win. Off the court, he's probably the most likable player in NBA history.
