I think he probably is the best. But he has the advantage of knowing he won't get fired, So the players have to respect him or be shipped out themselves. I think it helps him build and command better teams. Even in light of that, Yes pop is the best.

I agree 100%. Pop is the GOAT coach, he consistently takes decent players and turns them into weapons. The spurs is the only franchise I know that I can say it's more of the system that makes them great rather than the players. You can take off duncan Parker and ginobli and replace them with decent players and I bet they can still make the playoffs as a 5 or 6 seed.

Exacty why Pop is not the GOAT coach. All the great coaches(PJ/Riley) play to win. Pop, more often than not, plays not to lose. Overthinks things too much.
