The modern day family don't know/celebrate LeBron like they did MJ or Magic.
Even with his piling resume he is just not headed to a pop culture changing career.

Good college starter

the heat are destroying scrubby teams in the playoffs. who cares? no drama, no tension. just a cakewalk in an easy conference

People only care about winning. If they threepeat this year then everyone and their grandmother will suddenly be heat fans since 63.

Define pop culture changing. I'd argue Shaq had a bigger impact in terms of recognition than Magic.

It was much easier to build legends and legacies back then. How is that debatable?

Explain how.
With expanded media- youtube, twitter, facebook, etc athletes have FAR more avenues to reach the masses, especially globally.

Kobe Apostle
Re: The modern day family don't know/celebrate LeBron like they did MJ or Magic.
Bran is a great player. He just isn't the legendary player like a Michael Jordan, a Magic Johnson, a Larry Bird, or a Kobe Bryant, ect. And there's nothing wrong with that because only a few could say they ever were as great as the names listed. Of course the new generation of kids today will look at stats and think he was as legendary as the Mt. Rushmore-type NBA legends, but he never really was. Even Bran himself thinks he is up there, but like Heinsohn said, he is merely a pebble of the mountain.

Deuce, your trolling would work if you didn't include Kobe or maybe that's why it worked. lol

Sure, they reach more people, but they're no longer as "mythical" as before. They're always having their shit put on blast by anyone and everyone. They seem more human. If Jordan played today, maybe he'd be seen as a complete asshole instead of a borderline deity.
