Default OKC would not have beaten Miami in 2013 or 2014

OKC is too dumb and disorganized

miami was practically a so-so team in 2014... they made the Finals only because the East is the weakest it's ever been... also, they made it in part because of their reputation.

teams played scared against the heat, mistakenly believing they were going to 3-peat (indiana's vogel mistakenly predicting lebron's ascension to 3-peat/jordan status).

but in reality, the jig was up... the spurs had made a couple tweaks to their gameplan from 2013 and figured out lebron-ball.. it's not like the spurs ADDED any personnel in 2014 - they just improved their gameplan, while lebron-ball stayed it's rigid, predictable self.

and now other teams are aware that lebron-ball can get destroyed, so they won't be mistakenly intimidated like vogel was last year.

I believe so too. Thunder can't expose Miami/current Cleveland's weaknesses inside.
If Cleveland got Thunder in the finals this year it would be their best shot at winning.

    lol!

They were 66% against the West and 65% against the East. It's not like the West was their achilles heel. They would've made the playoffs. There were a couple of teams that I think were capable of beating the Heat. The Spurs and Memphis. The Spurs had the offense that will break down the Heat's defense and they could defend them more than the Heat could defend them that year.

Memphis is better than the Pacers. They would be able to punish the Heat inside more and had the defense to contain them.

Heat would have smoked them easily. Thunder are too dumb of a team to beat Miami with iso ball. Only team ball/passing could expose the heats trapping D.

If they kept Harden they would've won in 2013.

He's right. Modern 2010s humans are way more advanced than 90s players.

I actually agree, the Spur's and Memphis both have someone capable of guarding the big 3. OKC could never find anyone to guard Lebron effectively, the Heat rested the big 3 the last 5 games of the season so they actually were a 57-58 win team.
