Yeah, I'm thinking maybe he was referring to non-game situations. Even then, Vince's free throw line dunks have always been borderline.

That said, I do believe Vince Carter holds the record as the only player to both dunk on Tim Duncan in a game and throw down an in-game elbow dunk (sans hang): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KmvT06dmdpM. What a record. I bet it's never broken. Some may have dunked on Tim Duncan, but no one's done both of those types of slams on separate occasions in the NBA during games.

Mj's dunked from about that same distance vs celtics, pistons, and as old school posted suns. And while not taking off from the same distance, he's been close to it but did other shit with the pill like that cradle that was posted. He's done tomahawk from distance numerous times. Another thing worth noting is the angle in which he jumps from at times.

I believe a young Steve Blake once jumped from the free throw line and went over Mutombo all in one dunk.

I'd like to see the answer to this question bcause the video looks like he was like one and a half steps insdie the line.

Also, if this is a "dunk record" then where is it recorded? To me it just looks like a couple of nice dunks.

It's not to hard to jump over someone when you 6'9 and the other guy 5'11.

Then take in the fact that Lucas was leaning down and Lebron's legs weren't straight over him.

What you think lebron has a 71 vert?

did you purposely not take the picture of the frame where he explicitly is inside the ft line? What the **** is your problem kid?

Thats what, 17 inches inside the ****ing line?

One name really stands out doesn't it? No hate on Dalembert, just odd that he shares company with MJ, Glide, VC and Bron

yeah wtf is this shit ? most of these dunks aren't from the free throw line .. y'all need to change your posts to 'almost from the free throw line' .. so far the only one I've seen(unless I missed another) here that's actually from the free throw line is pippen's

edit: drexler's dunk looks it might be but it's not clear
