NBA rookie of the year
What's next for Anthony Bennett?
So Anthony Bennett has been waived from his hometown team. Who should give him a shot? Would you give him a shot on your team? Remember he was drafted because he had "godly" potential, not his body of work.

First of all he should probably request to get a refund on his Presto card. Then go back to Brampton and spend every night getting drunk and bragging about how he was drafted No.1 overall.

If Anthony Bennett does not play again, his 543 points will be fewest by No. 1 pick since Mark Workman in 1962. Even Greg Oden scored 840.

Re: What's next for Anthony Bennett?
Such a shame, and the sad part is he is really talented. We will learn later there is more to this story, depression, illness, something? He really played well for Canada this past summer, team first guy, big nights on the boards, top scorer at times, very explosive, such a shame he is a walking NBA ghost.
Maybe Phoenix, with its rep of rehabbing players can do something with him. I would love to see SA give him a shot, but his footwork might not be up to their level.
Getting out of Toronto might be good, too much undeserved attention there.

Andrew Nicholson also played well for canada though. International ball is a different pace.
