Why? Because he can do more things offensively than curry. Doesnt need a stacked roster to carry him most of the game. Nore does lebron need this pussafied eras rules to be relevant

Curry is a great shooter. Hes the best shooter ever. But lebron.... even as inferior as he is to kobe in terms of posting up... is still.... a way better post up player than curry

And even as inferior as lebron is to kobe at doing everything on the offensive end. He still does way more than curry

And even as inferior as lebron is to peak kobe defensively. Hes still leaps and bounds above curry

And even though lebron cant create any shot for himself. He can still create a ton.. more than just threes.

Curry is basically a cheat code in the right place at the right time on the right team....

But hes not a better overall basketball player than a less efficient lebron james.

Talent isnt measured in numbers.

So yes, because of defense LeBron is still better than Curry

However, since Kobe has never been good at defense, PER accurately describes him
