In my opinion Spain has got clearly the best roster and probably the best team, as a result of playing together so for so many years now

They have a chemistry than most of the teams luck

I personally expect them to win it easily

Poland is playing the best basketball of all teams right now. Defense that Gortat is putting is just incredible (15pts,17rbs today).
Also Lampe is looking damn good, his game elevated to another level.

Poland beat Lithuania(altho they're missing some key players).Gortat,Lampe and others had an awesome game.

I'm still amazed at Gortat runnin the floor,he had most of his points from fast breaks.

Lampe developed into a great player in Europe. He played great in Moscow, wonder how he's gonna do in Maccabi this season.

Muli Katzurin needs to give the starters a break tho,at one point the Polish team was running on fumes.I hope they're gonna be ready for Turkey.

All in all it was a great game to watch.I already bought tickets for the 2nd round in Lodz

Great effort from GB! Really pleased with how they performed apart from the first 6 mins, and the last 3 mins of course!

We relied far too much on Pops early on, and his mid-range game needs serious work. He defended Pau well though, as best he could. Pleasing that our previously poor performing guards stepped up and hit some huge shots throughout the game! Makes me excited for the future when Luol and Ben slot into the team anyway. Joel Freeland impressed me too, with his inside/outside game.

Russia is missing not one, but THREE key players: Kirilenko, Holden and Khryapa.

What the hell is going on with Spain?

The announcer during the espn360 broadcast was saying if GB won it would have been the greatest upset in the history of international basketball.

Or close to it.UK team is lacking any serious players apart from pops.Spain brought basically everyone except calderon.

What is going wrong with them?

Some of the players just recovered from injuries, some are obviously not in shape.Still that team is stacked and the only reason for their poor play atm is ..underestimating their rivals?Overconfidence?

if you've seen their games you probably noticed how relaxed they are, they look like they are on vacation or something.Vs slowenia the most energized guy on the spanish team was Rudy on the bench.Gasol is looking at the refs all the time...I kinda cheer for their opponents during this tournament.

Im liking frances chances with spain not playing the best, its mikael pietrus wasnt injured they would be stacked, but as is:
    PG: Parker
    SG: Batum
    SF: Pietrus bro
    PF: Diaw
    C: Turiaf

    go francais!

GB would actually be a pretty decent team with Gordon and Deng playing.

I don't believe it. Allways when I read comments about French team, it's that's can't be France team, there's too many black people in there. But all French players are born in France (except Alain Koffi & Ali Traor

Favourite team to win the tournament is Spain, if not Greece. France is not playing a great basketball at all. They were the last to qualify to Eurobasket and appart from Parker and a little bit Diaw, they lat skill. They are generally great physically but not technically. They've got also pretty poor centers and power forwards offensively. Diaw is playing as a small forward

For me its between Greece and Spain. Spain seem to have come for holidays in the first round, but I expect them to get better as the tournament goes on. Greece are missing probably their two best players (Diamantidis and Papolukas), but their inside game is very good with Bouroussis, Schortsianitis, Printezis, Fotsis, Koufos (although he scarcely plays). They've algo got a natural leader in Spanoulis
