I honestly don't know what Danny's pitch is here. I know he spent some time with KD and his family before Durant's draft when it was looking like the Celtics might get him or Oden, so there's a relationship there.

"Play for Brad Stevens and these guys we have now" isn't going to get the job done at all. If he doesn't have another superstar or two lined up (one of whom we will have to make a trade for since we only have salary room for two max free agents), I don't know how he sells a future in Boston that includes winning titles.
