So, was he dominating his competition when he played high school basketball in the U.S?

No. And if you watch him play in junior levels in Greece not really either. Same thing happened a few days ago when Greece played against USA in a friendly, he had so many chances to just destroy USA team, but they were missed because of timing.

Problem is that at junior levels, the guards don't understand the proper timing of when and where to throw him the ball. They simply have no idea of what to do with such a giant like this.

And how could they? Where would they ever have seen such a freak like this ever before, let alone played with him?

But when he plays in Panathinaikos senior team in Greek men's league for the limited time, it looks totally different. he can get the good looks from the guards and he just destroys everyone.

Actually, after that last game in Greek under 19 team played against USA, the Greek coach, that is a professional coach in Greece's men's league (not a junior level coach) was really mad at all the Greek guards and kept demanding at them to get the ball to Papagiannis in right place and right time so he can finish the dunks, instead of everything being timed wrong on his jumps.

He said he was making the guards work on it until they understand how to do it right. It's different with professional players that just understand things like that.

But in the first game of the tournament, the guards were doing a lot better and only missed like 3 or 4 passes the whole game. And when they did the coach was on them hard over it.

Most of the passes were timed correctly, and it was just unbelievable watching this BEAST go to work. It was like young Shaq out there. Everything in the area around the basket was being thrown down viciously.

Guys were running away. He was dunking all over people. This guy is a FREAK OF NATURE.

I've never seen anything like him at that size since young Shaq.

He can run the floor, block shots everywhere, control the rebounding on both ends, and just dunk the hell out of everything. And if you get him away from the rim, he just lowers his shoulder and powers into you with a deadly hook shot.

Looks like we found the new NBA GOAT. That black dude that played for the Bulls was a scrub anyway.

His dad is 7 feet tall. So I doubt he has a growth disorder.

Don't look for Papagiannis on the Rivals list of Top 100 prospects. You won't find him.

[QUOTE]The Kansas Jayhawks recruiting rumors continue to swirl around the top ranked recruits, but center Georgios Papagiannis could be a dark horse. If Bill Self and the Kansas Jayhawks miss out on some of the higher ranked big men, Papagiannis may be a player that could thrive at Kansas.

    Georgios Papagiannis stands 7
