Hmmm..

So half and half

Half the mvp/ring seasons and half the total rings

Seems like an entirely lower level to me

Btw, how many titles does lebron have as scoring champ, or ANY perimeter player for that matter? And how many as scoring champ AND 1st team all-defense (best 2-way player)?

I believe somewhere between 1-9 perimeter players have accomplished that feat

All players get swept and beaten in the playoffs

So if you were creating the perfect career, you'd want those losses to happen as the 8 seed, with the worst odds

That's how jordan's 1-9 happened - as the 8 seed facing dynasties, so the worst odds

Whereas Lebron's losses and sweeps occurred with Finals teams that faced much better odds than an 8 versus 1 seed.. he also lost numerous times in the 2nd Round and conference finals to LOWER seeds..

So Lebron's record doesn't compare to MJ's perfect career, consisting of goat winning and 'optimal' losing.

What's with all the rustled Jimmies? What I posted is true.

Look at guys like MJ, Russell, Kareem, Lebron. These are the true dominants of the sport.

Except MJ won twice as much

with better boxscore stats (4 more PPG on better efficiency per possession)

and advanced stats (only MJ is top 2 in vorp, BPM, PER, ws/48, and he set plus-minus record in 96')

So MJ and Russell are in a class of their own

You know, people don't give Russell credit for his rings because it was "the old days"... But MJ could've legitimately won 8 straight in the 90's, just like Russell did in the 60's, and he still won 6 in 8

So apparently, you just need to be THAT GOOD to win that much and be goat..

heck, lebron could've gone 4/4 in Miami but he choked, wasnt a leader on defense, and then lacked the skill to mesh perfectly with wade like MJ did with pip

Bill almost double MJ rings, so if anything he's in his own class.

Where does that leave LeBron? Dude has 8 straight finals appearances and came up short.

I'll take the guy that doesn't have to argue "winning doesn't matter" to make his case

Lebron fans must argue that lebron's low ring count doesn't matter, so they're arguing winning doesn't matter, even though it's the very purpose of competition

That alone should let you know ur wrong about lebron and grasping at strawmen to make your argument

And he doesn't beat MJ statistically anyway:

1) only mj is top 2 in VORP, BPM, PER, WS/48, and he set the record for plus-minus in 96' (so MJ has best advanced stats)

2) MJ averaged 4 more PPG on better efficiency per possession (better boxscore stats)

So what's lebron's case without stats or winning?.. longevity stats? Gimme a break

If rings matter, Billy is GOAT, if not it's LeGoat.

Pip was a beast doesn't belong w fish and Horry even tho those guys are mad underrated. Pip maybe could have won an mvp in an ideal circumstance, the other two never.

That's why I value Shaq highly. If he actually played the games he might have come out with 2/3 mvps during 3 peat.

Winning an MVP during a 3-peat is GREAT. Key word is MVP though.
