Lukearts is wrong

The rating work based on position.

Overall rating = overall position rating

Like a center , in this case Dwight, is still an 88 overall even though he can not shoot at all.

But if you give Lebron Dwight's ratings, at the SF position he will have a low overall score because he can not shoot, which is required.

Overall rating basicly defines how good a player is at his position.

Shaq 98
Kobe 95
Fisher78
Horry 77
Fox 78
Shaw 72
Walker 74
Even put in the scrubs but don't remember their ratings
Overall rating is 93 what do you guys think?

SMH @ these ratings again. They messed up last year but the good thing is that they update these so that they actually make sense.

I just recreated the team on 2010. But I assume their ratings are fair in your opinion?

Overall ratings don't mean much. They're calculated by taking every individual rating in to consideration. So, just because someone is a few points better than someone else, doesn't mean that they are better at certain aspects of the game.

Ratings are more of a respect thing in 2k. It really doesn't necessarily correlate to how dominate a player is in the game at least not in any 2k game since 2k6. Many thing comes to play like shoot form, finishing around rim etc etc. Still all and all Rose isn't 5 rating points higher, they probably jacked up his offensive awareness, and put his speed and dunking at 95-99. To cause the gap.

Mayo will always always be more dominate in 2k than Rose. It was that way in 2k9, and 2k10, especially if you put him at point guard. People who have done this know what I am talking about. Mainly because he has the 3 ball shot, that we all tend to fall in love with in 2k, and he can slash and pretty good speed and can dunk in traffic. He is basically Monta Ellis on steroids in 2k.

That was him with an 80 rating. When 2k bumps him up to 90 due to his performance that will happen this year he will become better than Wade easily in 2k11 because he has a jumper and 3 point shot.

Deron Williams- 92
Chris Paul- 92
Kobe Bryant - 95
Kevin Durant- 95
Carmelo Anthony- 94

My guesses.

Ratings don't mean shit. I can build a playoff team with my best player being rated a 71. It's all about getting guys to fill certain roles on your team which is why you look at individual ratings, not the overall rating.

For example, on NBA Live 10 I was Portland and I could've gotten Maggette or Korver and at this time Batum was trash at shooting so I took Korver and I began slapping teams cuz he filled something I needed although Maggette was the higher rated player.

P.S.
Only got Live because GameStop didn't have any used versions of 2K10

But I already have my copy of 2K11 on hold
