Shit I sound like CF86 lol.
Ibaka is a 10x better fit for OKC than BG, Ibaka's offense has improved heavily and he is extremely valuable to OKC's success.
If you switched BG & Ibaka and put them on opposite teams i think OKC suffers. They already have enough offense and taking away Ibaka's weakside D and shot blocking presence would severely hurt them.
You're underating OKC to prop up Durant.

Um...same defense for Barnes and Thabo? Not really and Thabo is shooting 41% from three on 3.1 attempts per game. Barnes is a good defender, but Thabo is an elite perimeter defender and on a different level than Barnes in that regard. And I'd take Nick Collison over Turiaf every day of the week and, as it stands right now, over Odom; although Odom is getting back into shape and playing better so it's turning into a wash, and Odom looks like he's on his way to surpassing Collison in terms of impact.

Barnes was trash last year, Odom was trash last year, Crawford was trash last year 14 ppg on 38%.
now they are all having good years b/c of the PG they play with.
Barnes & Crawford get so many open looks its crazy.
They are in a fast paced offense now instead of shitty Hawks/Lakers offense, they get the same open shots and fastbreaks when Paul is on the bench. Their defense and ball movement gets them open shots, not just CP3 magically creating those opportunities. Griffin getting doubled in the post is also a big factor.

Barnes has played just as good defense this year, he is bigger too, he is scoring from more than wide open 3s as well. How many games Thabo had 20+ points this season. Thabo's D is overrated, good in stretches but not as consistent. He doesn't change the game with his D like say Bradley.
Collison is good when he actually gets some ****in minutes over Scrubkins, but Brooks isn't using him as often.

Durant should be on top right now, followed by Lebron.

We'll just have to agree to disagree about Thabo's defense. He's got burned a few games this year, but he's also changed a few games with his defense; most notably the Clippers game and second Spurs game. Probably the first Rockets game, too. Barnes is the better offensive player, I'm not disputing that, but I think Thabo's defense is on a different level (not that Barnes is a bad defender) and he is also an efficient 3P shooter. He's turned into a near perfect compliment to Durant and Westbrook: someone who can take on the challenge of defending the other team's best perimeter player while also reliably knocking down open threes.

To me he is in the same boat as Deng, gets that elite defender rep by guarding smaller players. Iggy, Allen, Bradley, Shumpert are better than him. Thabo got owned by Kobe last year, Durant was on him in 4th quarters. Westbrook was on Parker in the 4th, and on CP3 in 4th/OT. Thabo isn't as amazing as you think, lets see if he steps up in the playoffs.
