Default Is It Time For Lakers To Rebuild?

Let's not forget their 128 million dollars payroll (with luxury tax) this year. And they're losing and may not even make the playoffs. 200 million next year if they try to keep the same core to continue this same failed experiment.

So many are overpaid and old. Why not trade them for younger pieces right now?

Until Kobe retires, then they will start to rebuild.

They'll be a mediocre team for a few more years, Kobe will retire, and then they'll rebuild.

This.

Kobe would probably demand a trade if Lakers tried to rebuild.

Because they have no trade assets. The only two assets would be Dwight and Pay, but Dwight would be a rental and Pau's value is at an all-time low.

Jamison, Nash, and MWP are worth zilch. They have no picks left.

Basically, they are depending on sign-and-trading Dwight unless they feel he can still be a successful franchise player.

LAL can never think of rebuilding with that pathetic $30 million paycheck collector in the line up.

He is a cancer to LAL team chemistry & rebuilding process.

LAL need to get rid of that cancer & rebuiliding will start immediately.

they are far below that and it will be only worse next year due to not having any ability to add talent to their team

It would be disrespectful to start rebuilding before Kobe retires.

On the contrary, Kobe should be very thankful he was able to play with such a great organization that gave him great teams almost every year. The organization gave everything to Kobe, they shouldn't wait for him to decide to retire before they start to rebuild.
