Re: Paul George models game after Kobe's; eyes similar success
We got KD modeling his game to Lebron's game.
We got PG modeling his game to Kobe's game.
Whoever ends with more success, will prove who's a better Bball player out of the two nemesis.

damn, all these kobe stans arent gonna jump on george's bandwagon, and shove him down our throats are they?
pg is very likable at the moment, these kobe stans could wreck that.

any big market team's fans will behave like kobe stans do if they have been successful for a lot of years nad have a superstar on their team.
if lebron had gone to new york instead of miami and won a few rings there then you would have seen the worst trolls of all time.
Miami is a small market plus it is not much of a sports town. knicks fans would have blown lakers fans out of the water if lebron went there and it would have been even worse if he won there.

@1:44 a la Arenas right there. Fvcking badass.
Oh, and @5:02 and @5:29 doing Kobe's Finger follow through

Well, if you wanna strive to be like the best, it's makes sense to try to be like 2Pac, but not to try to be like Master P or some other 2Pac knock-off.

thats true
i only singled out kobe stans because, from skimming through this thread, and others, its mostly them that are latching onto george.
im sure when lebron starts to fade from relevancy, his stans will latch onto someone else.

It looks to be this way, it could be a matter of time till they label him Kobe's successor (touch wood their stupidity won't reach that level).
I won't let them ruin George for me though

Re: Paul George models game after Kobe's; eyes similar success
Surely I can't be the only one who doesn't see the similarities between Paul George and Kobe... George is a SF with a good three inches on Kobe, and is more of an all-around player than he is an unstoppable scorer. Aside from having work ethic and a 'killer instinct', there isn't that much in common... Larry Bird too had work ethic and a killer instinct, but no one would compare him to Kobe.

Kobe's a AllRound player too though...As the Man in the Playoffs he's put up numbers of 28-5-5 with a TS of 55%....George also dominates the perimeter defensively like Kobe did when he was 23....George is looking as nearly as polished as 03' Kobe who avg 30ppg 6-5 and All Defensive Team First level.

Absolute bullshit. In an effort to find a 'new Kobe' (possibly because you're desperate to find a competitor for LeBron), you have underrated your original idol big time. 03 Kobe is far better offensively than George.
Even though George is pretty much there defensively, Kobe was far more dominant offensively. And I won't waver on this opinion until I see George sustain this production (and more) over a long period of time, where he can put up 25ppg (AT LEAST) against any team without too much difficulty.

Looks that way which really pisses me off. Branslowski is already one of the most annoying posters on here. Was hoping once Kobe finally retired in the next few years he'd just go back to posting about his rapping and other shit in the OTC and stay off the NBA board, but now he's got a new obsession and it looks like he's going to be equally as obnoxious shoving him down everyone's throat as he is with Kobe.
But really, though, George is the one we should be mad at since he said something about modeling his game after Kobe.
