Yes, but after its injured the second time there is generally no way to repair it and it is just removed.

Wade had his removed while he was still at Marquette so in a vacuum the injury isn't the end of the world. But given his history, that wouldn't be a fair expectation.

Remember, he is a very physical player with a lot of explosive movements. And rather than play on the balls of his feet where the foot absorbs much of the pounding, he lands on his heels where the impact shoots up to his knees. He is going to have to remake the way he runs, etc.

He is still young and his explosion is still there. His body is the limiting factor and no one knows how this is going to play out.
