I don't think Lebron played "too hard" or anybody else played "too soft". They were just putting on a show. When else will you get to see Duncan and Yao shooting 3 pointers? Just take it for what it is, entertainment.

Maybe if the winning conference got something out of it (like baseball) or it was after the season (like football) but, why risk getting hurt or tired out when you got half the regular season and the playoffs to play?

And that is a logical way of looking at it too, however, with that mindset, one cannot complain that it was a boring game (in no way implying that you did).
