NBA Superstar
Where does Wade rank alltime among sophomores?
24/7/5/2/1 48%FG
Playoffs
27/7/6/2/1 48% FG
the level of poise and ability he showed is extremely rare to ever see in a sophomore. The way he was playing against a defense as good as sophisticated as Detroit at that age before he got hurt................outplaying prime VC and Gilbert b2b...........

He won a championship a year later, much wow a year difference and now that I think about it Lebron and Durant didnt win a title in their junior yr either. Actually Lebron has never won a finals game without Wades prescense and now that I think about it Wade curbstomped Durant in the finals with a backdoor sweep and now that I think about it your a f@got

Great college starter
Re: Where does Wade rank alltime among sophomores?
His age may have helped to some degree, but it was still only his second year in the league and it's not like he was a highly polished player coming out of college. He was a tweener with a suspect jumpshot and raw overall skill set. He was obviously very talented but his meteoric rise to stardom took most people by surprise. It was clear early on that he was going to be very good, but I don't think anyone expected him to be THAT good that fast.
Slightly OT but I think the 2005 Heat were better than their championship team the following season. Wade had emerged as a legit superstar and Shaq was still a 23/10 MVP candidate (though his play did fall off a bit in the playoffs). If not for that damn rib injury I think they would have had a solid shot at beating the Spurs. Before the injury Wade looked like (or was playing like) the best player in the league.
