I'm curious as to why it is that Kobe in particular should be appreciated, when there have been other great players, who are not appreciated, who people go out of their way to disappreciate. So I'm wondering why this appreciation doesn't extend to greatness when and wherever it is, but only applies to certain players. Why the double standard?
