If you rank players solely by PER, ws48, obpm/dbpm, etc you get a super accurate all time list. You also get a very close match to the mvp vote ranks for a season.
According to regular season ws/48 the highest peaks are kareem in 70-73, wilt in 74, lebron from 08-13, MJ around 91, 96, and 88.
You get similar stuff if you use the other stats.
Westbrook, curry, harden, paul had the highest BPM this regular season
Curry, Lebron, aminu , Duncan, and that midget choker in LA have the highest playoff BPM this season
This shit is accurate man
Regular stats say carmelo is a beast but advanced stats say hes basically just an above average starter. They confirm the "eye test". Eg Kevin Love's DBPM is 0.00 for his career, which for a PF, is well below average.
