Default Dwyane Wade - "Maybe some day I'll get the respect I deserve".

Wade said this after the victory over the Bulls last night. Seems like he's just now realizing that nobody is going to give him full credit for winning titles when he's playing with the best player on the planet, and spends half the playoffs injured or playing below standard.

He chose to be Scottie Pippen when he brought LeBron to the Heat. It'll be interesting to see how his ego deals with the situation if the Heat manage to win multiple titles... and LeBron gets the majority of the credit.

I remember when LeBron first joined the Heat, even up through their first championship, people were claiming it was still Wade's team. However, that sentiment is gone, and everyone recognizes that the Miami Heat are LeBron's team, and will only go as far as he takes them. Wade is almost an afterthought now, with fans and analysts alike treating him like an accessory, not a necessity.

Yeap, I remember that first year. Everyone was still saying it's Wade's team.
During the first year, for all the photoshoots, Wade was standing in the middle as the leader.

Let's take a look back at old pics:

He won't get it playing with Lebron at this High Level. Deep down he's got to realize that when He recruited Lebron and Bosh this would diminish him.

Just shut up and play basketball. You're on the league's best team primed to win #2. Let your wins and championships define you when your playing career is over.

Sorry Wade, not that many players get the luxury of sitting out for a shit ton of games, and half assing it while Lebron and Bosh put in most of the work.

Lebron may be leading the Miami Heat but he is being led by Wade. Wade is basically his father.

He already gets the respect he deserves from people who matter. Other players and coaches know his value. Only internet stat nerds would doubt how great he's been as a player or diminish his impact on the league.

Wade could've won nothing for the rest of his career and he still would've had an indelible impact on the league after the '06 Finals.

**** feeling sorry for Wade. What about Bosh?

It's like people forget Bosh is even on the team.

Bosh continually goes off on my Bulls, and never gets the respect he deserves. Wade gets a few points here and there in the 4th quarter, and he's on all the BSPN highlights.

Most people have him in top 30 of all-time. He gets his respect.

Bron is so good, he can take a Wade-less team to a championship. Still a stacked team though.

Does that mean LeBron has three fathers? Biological, Wade and Delonte?

Bosh gets overlooked more than Wade, and has had a much bigger impact this year.

If anyone is going to bounce when their contracts are up, it's him. One of the best bigs in the game. He's really their only big worth a damn, and still gets very little credit.

I think he's a near-unanimous top 5 SG and top 25 player all-time. The problem is, the fanbase is almost entirely comprised of LeBron and Kobe stans (including members of the media), who have every incentive to diminish his level of play and accomplishments.

Wade's just telling it how it is.
