it seemed "unimpresive" because it was mainly poor Raptors defense that led to a simple pass a simple cut leading to a simple score.

Well yeah, I suppose. It just seemed like he was never really creating a lot for his teammates, slashing in the lane, kicking it out, dumping it off to his bigmen, etc. He just made the simple passes that obviously worked, but didn't show anything special. I mean, making the right pass is still a great thing to do, but this is Jason Kidd here, it's become expected of him just like not dribbling off their foot is expected of average PG's. He's that good.

If you show me this game alongside one of his other lesser triple doubles from this year, I don't think I'd see a massive difference and say, yeah, he definitely played WAY better in this game. It just wasn't that great.

3rd greatest pg ever, and the best today. Captain Kidd is special to say the least. If he ever wins a title (and I pray he does) he'd move up the list of pgs IMO to 2
