I agree. James has arguably already peaked higher and his longevity is already better at age 32. He's been an elite player for 12 years, how many players can say that?

Durability is a big factor here. Injuries cut Larry's longevity short and Bron is just a tank that never seems to get injured.

Nope, Bird is a top 5 player of all time and still the best SF in NBA history. Lebron is coming close, but Id have him at around 7-8, below Bird and Duncan(5-6) and on par with Russell(7-8).

I thought this a year or two ago. Always though Lebron's peak was a little better even if Bird had great arguments for his side. Same thing for prime and Lebron adding some nice longevity and improving his postseason resume has helped even more.

To me you can't argue that LeBron isn't the greatest small forward of all time anymore. It's not just the fact Cleveland won a title. It's what LeBron did in the series when it mattered most. They were down and out 1-3 and he helped March them back to game 6 to die 3-3 to title the momentum in Cleveland's favor and oh, he lead all players on both teams in points, rebounds, assists, blocks and steals. That's NBA 2K shit right there.

As a player, he was a superior...
- Shooter, from all areas of the court. Vastly better post-game.
- Rebounder
- Passer
- Post defender
- Clutch performer
- Team leader

LeBron's a better perimeter defender and ball handler...and that's about it. Blocks and steals are a wash.

LeBron's a better perimeter defender and ball handler...and that's about it. Blocks and steals are a wash.

James is also much better getting to the rim, finishing for easy baskets and drawing fouls. He's also clearly a better, more consistent playoff performer.
