True, but I don't think he'll get to just walk away from Minnesota. Whichever team he's ultimately traded to likely will have an inside track to re-sign him next summer to a long-term deal (or they wouldn't have traded for him to begin with). I don't think many teams will offer to trade for him if they have a feeling it'll just be a rental. If Kings go for this, it could blow up massively in their face.
