He was just great at his peak which was 2014. Malone comparison is dumb but there is nothing wrong with comparing his peak to webber or kemp or even claiming his peak was a little better.

It's not dumb at all...the way Blake's been playing the past 3 years is a lot like a younger Malone...but obviously he is not as skilled or as dominant as Malone was, it's a similar dynamic to Stockton/Malone but they also have a big in the middle who can give you 12-15 points a game on 70% shooting off lobs.

His jumper is pretty solid but it's not as effective as those wide open lobs and dunks he got inside, but again with DJ there he doesn't always have an open lane to do that and the injuries have obviously slowed him down.

He is Malone in a sense that he can give you 20+ points 10+ rebounds and 4.-5 assists in his sleep, a lot of it coming off P&Rs with a generational pass-first PG.

Wat you said is all true. I even think blake is a better passer. Thing is blake can give you 20points a night but karl can give u 25 more efficiently, i just meant it was dumb to put them on the same level as players. Playing style is completely different, lma scores a lot like older malone too.

He's definitely worth the money he's being paid but he needs to get his health right.

So could prime Derrick Coleman, but that doesn't mean he deserves to be in the same sentence with Barkley. Comparing Malone and Griffin is silly, the latter is simply not that caliber of player.

Well yeah, I personally didn't mean to say that he was as good as Malone or that he's in the same tier, but as a player he does have a similar role and he does give you 20+ points 10+ rebounds with 4-5 assists pretty easily, when healthy he can go off for 30+ 10+ 5+ when you need him to....he has the talent to be as good as Karl Malone given how good he was as a rookie.

He was also at one time as popular as Malone ever was IMO because he was easily the most-watched player on YT, even over Kobe and Lebron at the time and all the great performances before the injuries killed his game, he is trying to transition into more of a shooting/passing big because his body can't do all those things and with DJ there he doesn't always have the opportunity either.

So yeah, he isn't overrated given how good he is when healthy but sadly the injuries will rob him of an amazing career. He'll still be solid and he'll probably average ~18/10/5 for his career but you could only imagine what his peak would have been had he been as durable as a Karl Malone.

Derrick Coleman wasn't as good of an all-around offensive player as Griffin...Blake right now is averaging 23/10/4 on 52% shooting for his career, even with all the injuries. Peak Playoff run so far was 26/13/6 51%FG

I was't comparing Coleman to Griffin. I said he could put up 20/10/5 in his sleep( what you said about Blake), but that doesn't mean you should compare him to Barkley. Just as Blake can put him those numbers.....but he's not Malone. The talent may be there, but plenty of players have gone through the ranks with bucket-loads of that, and been nothing more than gaudy statline producers. Blake for me hasn't ascended beyond that.....yet.
