Why doesn't Brook Lopez get more rebounds?

What the hell is wrong with this guy? It's not like he's physically incapable of being a good rebounder. His brother Robin who is exactly the same as him physically and genetically is a decent rebounder.


So wtf is wrong with Brook? He should be averaging 8-9 boards at least.

It probably doesn't help that he's being turned into a stretch 5. He's never been a bad offensive rebounder btw (pretty good in that area actually), so playing on the 3pt line may be hurting his numbers.

Well, he's too offensive minded. Which means lazy on the defensive end. Genetic or nah, the man is either weak or lazy. But he is more than capable of averaging 10 rpg. But, keep aslo in mind that he carries the load offensively for our team, most of the time. Cut him some slack, thanks.

lopez is just really slow footed, plus, so many athletic forwards in Brooklyn cutting down his numbers.

Brook Lopez is a strictly two space rebounder. He has no lateral quickness like a good leaper. The very best rebounder can jump diagonally like Bill Russell and Rodman. Lopez can't cover as much ground.
