it will take a few years for it to sink in but big men are obsolete as attacking forces, they are simply too slow, they deflect far more than shorter people so their consistency in shooting, coming off the dribble, you name it is inherently compromised. In nitty gritty playoff situtions they will remain very valuable but I just can't see him (or any big man) ever becoming deadly enough on offense (nor any big man) to compete with the fast pace nature and rush scoring of todays league.

Would that apply to a Shaq or a Kareem entering the league now, or would they be exceptions?
Surround a Shaq with three point shooters and playmakers. He would destroy front courts.

maybe big men post scorers, but PnR and face up guy like Davis is hand made for todays league.
