Could this help lead the way to him going to the Washington Wizards?

Why do they pay these guys so much? Do they even make a profit?

Nevermind. Under Armour makes 2.2 billion annually. Wow...

Do shoe endorsement deals make sense for shoe companies by athletes?

Consider this short blurb from two years ago:

"Nike generated $300 million in U.S. retail sales in 2012 for James

The 3rd quarter of 2013 saw a 27% increase in profits. I guess they think KD can help it climb further. I don't remember under armour having a spokes person. KD does have a pretty good image for sports.

How much does KD sell? His sneakers sold like $200M last year or something but I wonder how much his other gear sells. Probably not a bad deal when all things are taken into account.

Not sure about the money Nike makes with KD, but here's an interesting article on that subject analizing Lebron's sales in regard with his contract with Nike:

That also means that with his NBA salary and other endorsements that his annual earnings would be roughly $65,000,000 million per season.

That is James and Kobe money there.

Yeah, but Nike sells a lot more than just Lebron and KD sneaker. I'm sure premier athletes like KD, Bron, Kobe, etc are profitable on big deals because they have entire apparel lines. Guys like Steph Curry are probably unprofitable if they are given a biggish deal.
