Blown 3-1 leads
Who had the best/worst blown 3-1 lead?
Curry Warriors, Durant Thunder, or Kobe Lakers
Curry was in the Finals, but playing against Bron
Durant was in ECF, lost to Curry
Kobe was against the Steve Nash Suns

Embiid > Jokic
Re: Blown 3-1 leads
Not all 3-1 leads are the same, I'd actually put them in 3 different tiers
Warriors
Thunder
Lakers

I see what you did there, sorted by each round of the playoffs

Re: Blown 3-1 leads
Warriors one you can blame injuries and Lebron having Green suspended for a home game, but they did lose twice at home after being up 3 - 1.
Thunder and Lakers had 2 out of the next 3 on the road and both lost crucial home games they could have/should have won. OKC really blew it at the end of Game 6 and it was on Russ & KD while Kobe delivered in crunch time but had his teammates give up a wide open 3 to get it to OT when it should have been over.
Warriors one is clearly the only blown lead worth mentioning, the other two the better team won.

Lakers to Suns
Not only was Bryant in his prime, but it was against a team w/o their best (Amare), in the 1st round, with Kobe literally quitting in the most petty fashion

Their "best" player, who won 0 MVPs to Nash's 2, and it's not like they had him all year(he played a total of 50 minutes that season), yet were still the 2nd seed. Though Nash won the 2006 MVP, he wasn't even the best player on his team. Shawn Marion led the team in points, rebounds, steals, blocks, PER, overall Winshares, WS/48, +/- and VORP.
I guess it's a failure for a player as great as Kobe to lose to a much more stacked team in 7 games and to his teammate giving up a wide open 3 at home with the series all but wrapped up. It's fine when Lebron loses to Dwight Howard in 6 games while having the best record in the league, because none of us hold him to a standard as high as we do with Kobe.

Why did Kobe miss the playoffs in 2005, get swept in the first round with a super team in 2013, and miss the playoffs in 2014, 2015, and 2016 with a similar cast to current LeBron?

yup
prime Kobe was rotting in the lottery while 21yo Melo with Kmart was getting bye just fine, as was Gasol's Grizz.
Bryant couldn't even scratch a 10th seed with prime Odom and Butler in a conference where anyone could get a playoff seed

Justify losing to Dwight Howard on a 66-win team in just 6 games. Justify losing 3 straight to Boston with the best record in the league after being up 2 - 1 a year later.
2006 Suns - 54 wins, +9 on the Lakers
2009 Magic - 59 wins, -7 on the Cavs
2010 Celtics - 50 wins, -11 on the Cavs

Who cares Kobe had them 3-1 up he should have closed the deal but he choked
LeBron never even blew a 3-2 lead let alone a 3-1 lead it takes a certain kind of choker to pull that off

Re: Blown 3-1 leads
1. Lakers - Lost to a Suns team without their main scorer, so basically lost to an aging Steve Nash and role players.
2. Warriors - Lost in the finals as a 73-9 team, should have been able to win even with the injuries and Draymond suspension but for sure wouldn't have blown the 3-1 lead had those events not occurred
3. Thunder - Yeah the choke was pretty bad but to be fair it was against one of the greatest teams of all time. They fact that they were ever up 3-1 at all was quite impressive in itself.

Yet Lebron has been eliminated on his home court 5 times in the Finals and has blown two 2 - 1 leads.

So Shawn Marion didn't lead the team in pts, rebounds, steals, blocks, PER, WS, WS/48, +/-, VORP and wasn't All-NBA? The Suns didn't have the best 3-point shooting team in the league?
