Default How did the Suns **** up this badly?

It seemed like yesterday they had a solid young core led by Dragic and Bledsoe. One game out of the playoffs a year ago.

I can forgive them for the massive Bledsoe contract. He was; and still is a near-elite pointguard in this league in my eyes when used correctly.

But signing Isiah Thomas to that retarded 3-year contract, and then drafting Tyler Ennis to have him rot on the bench, destroying his development? And who could forget Zoran Dragic? Who's idea was it to have FIVE ball-dominant point guards on this team?

They didn't even retain Channing Frye, who was a big part of their offense's success the previous season.

They got a good return on Dragic in terms of picks, I'll give em' that. But this team does not look like a contender anytime soon, especially in the west. Can't believe the front office gutted a solid young roster into a disaster over the course of one season.

But hey, I hear they're gonna trade Bledsoe and their pick for the 4th pick. Maybe Brandon Knight and Frank Kaminsky will lead them to the promised land.

A solid young roster that wasn't going anywhere.

I think the idea was for them to tank but the players performed over their heads and Hornacek did a good job coaching but as constructed they were never going to be anything but a fringe team.

Signing Thomas was a mistake, but they werent going anywhere anyways. Overall they would be better off trading Bledsoe for picks and taking a few steps back.

Right now they are stuck in no man's land, not good enough to be a playoff contender, not bad enough to get one of the top picks in the draft and certainly not good enough to attract a top free agent.

They could stay the course, keep Bledsoe and Knight, sign a couple free agents and they are still an 8th or 7th seed at the very best, a team going absolutely nowhere fast.

They need to do a true rebuild, keep adding young talent to go along with Knight, Len, Warren and Goodwin. Unless Suns fans are satisfied with a team that barely makes it into the playoffs each year, dramatic changes need to happen.

What do you mean mystery? A majority of these boards (along with reddit, realgm) were calling IT an more impactful version of Kyrie Irving.

It would've been a sensible trade if they didn't decide to keep Bledsoe.
