Peak Dwyane Wade vs Kawhi Leonard

Two of the best perimeter players of all time. Though peak Wade was a very good defender I think Kawhi has the clear edge on defense. Offensively I believe Wade was the greater player, a better slasher, passer and even more devastating on the fastbreak. Kawhi has more range on his shot but Wade still has the edge on offense. I don't think you can go wrong with choosing either player but I think Wade at his best may have been slightly greater.

Wade was more of an unstoppable slasher than Leonard. Leonard has good efficiency with better 3 point shooting but Wade had more take over ability. Been saying Leonard is a top 2 or 3 player in the league for over 5 years now. He’s still a slight notch below prime Wade. Like op said Wade was hell of a defender in his prime, one of the best help defending guards of all time.

I'm cool with either option. Wade was a monster in his prime, 06 one of the best finals ever, 11 one of the best for a non-winning squad. Hard to say if his peak is 06 or 09

kawhi wasnt better defensively than Wade this year because he was coasting. hard to compare with peak Wade since we have to heavily weight playoff performance for kawhi. To quote him, it was like practice for him.
