this isn't rocket science, barnes already knew every bit of thing he said, we teach kids these things in 5th grade.

Barnes has always had the total package in terms of skill, everything is there for him to put it together and become a star, including if not especially the organization he has come up in.

His fundamentals are really good, but he doesn't have any facet of his game that really stands out to be a star

If you had West's eye to critique or evaluate NBA player's habits and talents, than why aren't you a highly sought after advisor for an NBA franchise?

Re: Jerry THE LOGO West blesses Harrison Barnes with a shooting lesson!
the problem of barnes is his ball handling,he can't create his own shoot, unless he improves that he can't be 20+ player, but he can be an all around player that can do all things and it is very important to have such a player on champions teams

How? Theres already 2 20+pt scorers on the Warriors with Curry and Klay. And then Draymond Green who takes his fair amount of shots too.
When was the last time a team had 3 20+pts scorers on their starting lineup?
I liked the tip Jerry West gave about free throw shooting though. Im gonna apply it in my games

West had THE perfect jump shot. And he would STILL beat your ass at age 77.

Dale Ellis: 25.8
X-Man: 21.4
Chambers: 20.4
Ellis hit 41.3% of his threes in 87/88. Granted, he only took 3.5 a game. 50% shooter that season.

Because I don't live in USA, because I didn't live in the 60s and 70s when it was still possible for ordinary guys like me to play in the NBA and because I haven't made a name for myself back in that time.

exactly. He really should work on more moves to the hoop ala Worthy. He's been good in spurts. He had his best game in the playoffs against Houston game 5.

West would be in mid-stride of a dribble sprint then punch the ball to the floor HARD and immediately leap while the ball was rising off the floor.
He did not stop and get set, he lifted into the jumper from the full sprint.
His timing was perfect so that the ball would meet him at chest level at the top of his jump. He would catch his own pass, in a way.... and sweep the ball up overhead for the jumper. The ball was far higher than any defender can get to because they have to recover from horizontal sprint and leap.
He did that shot from every floor position, all the way round the court - there was no sweet spot for West so you never knew, nor even had any idea, where the shot was going to come from.
That was the most unstoppable jumper that's ever been displayed in the NBA.
